Why Me

I  am a survivor of domestic violence. My second husband, before and after we got married, treated me like his slave, like his sexual toy, verbal punching bag as well as his prisoner. I had to ask permission to go outside, use the phone, even use the bathroom. He’d rape me all the time, with my 4 year old son just outside the door. Before we got married, he caused me to have concussion as well as a slight stroke ( T.I.A.). It took me a little over a year to finally escape the nightmare. I had to lie and hide in a convenience store to wait until the court opened. However, a few years later I developed Epilepsy because of the stroke and concussions I had during that marriage. I’m one of the lucky ones. I’ve been in a couple more abusive relationships, but I got out of them soon after the abuse started. I wish I could let women know, you can get out. Thank You for letting me share my story
